BY ORIENTAL HEAUS.COM, SHANGHAI SoftBank Robotics today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Haier (Qingdao Haier Co., Ltd.), which be known as the world’s No.1 major appliances brand of the Haier Group.
SoftBank Robotics and Haier plans to cooperate on developing and utilizing service robots for ‘Smart Home’ and ‘Smart Store’.
Haier’s ‘Smart Home’ is a solution where household appliances interconnect through IoT.
Both companies plan to develop humanoid robot ‘Pepper’ , a special version of AI robot compatible with Haier’s ‘U plus’ operating system.
Pepper will be used in Haier’s Smart retail store to optimize purchasing experiences.
